Academic institutions in the Ahmadiyya Jamā'at have always aimed to enable students to serve humanity.

In response to the Majlis Shūrā 2009 proposal #6, Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalīfatul Masīh V (aa) approved and instructed the launch of ʻAisha Academy in Canada.
ʻAisha Academy began on 20th September 2011 in the upper floor of the Baitul Nusrat Lajna building, in Peace Village,Toronto. The Academy launched the Mubashira degree program under the close guidance and supervision of Respected Lal Khan Malik Sahib, Amir Jamā'at Canada and Dr. Ijaz A. Rauf Sahib, National Secretary Ta'līm. Many members of the Jamā'at assisted in many ways to ensure that the guidance of Hadrat Khalīfatul Masīh was adhered to making ʻAisha Academy a truly unique and enriching experience for the first 12 students.
